Parks Directory

Introduction

Our seven parks provide seasons full of fun for everyone in the community! Features include a fish pond, walking paths, children play areas, horseshoe pits, picnic grills and sports fields. Tennis courts and basketball courts are also maintained by the city.

You can rent a park pavilion with restrooms and electricity for your next special gathering. Rental fees range from $15.00 to $25.00 for city residents and $30.00 to $50.00 for non-city residents. Contact the Parks Department at (330) 875-5644 for more information.

Youth baseball, basketball, volleyball and other recreation programs are administered by the YMCA. Call (330) 875-1611 for information on how to get involved in these events.

Broad Street Park

This park has amenities for kids of all ages. Little League baseball and softball games are just some of the events common here. Broad Street Park also has two tennis courts, a basketball court, four horseshoe pits, three shuffle board courts, two drinking fountains and a public restroom. The 20 person capacity pavilion with indoor restrooms make this an ideal place to rent for parties.

Constitution Park

Ninety years ago, Constitution Park was Louisville's Waterworks with a steam operated pump house. Now, it has a one acre fish pond and a one-sixth mile walking path. This is a great gathering spot with a pavilion that holds 20 people.

Croston Park

Enjoy the trees and seasonal flowers which highlight this one acre grass park.

Broad Monter Creek accents this beautiful one acre grass park, making it a favorite for simple relaxation.

Howard E. "Peg" Wilson Park

Wilson Park is known for tennis and basketball courts lit and available until 11:00 p.m. Baseball and softball are the old standard here, too.

Mary C. Metzger Park

Activity abounds at Metzger Park! The 200-car parking lot provides space for visitors who utilize the two baseball fields, two soccer fields, picnic areas and over three miles of biking/walking and running paths. Several of the paths have been identified with mileage markers for your convenience and each path is clearly marked. The original ground was donated to Louisville by Mary C. Metzger, who stated in her will that the land should only be used for park and recreation purposes.

Wildwood Park

With two pavilions and a gazebo, equipped with charcoal grills and electric service, this is the perfect spot for a family reunion. One pavilion has a fireplace and all structures are wheelchair accessible. Wildwood Park has a sand volleyball court, baseball and softball fields, two sets of swings and a monster climber for those rough-housing youngster.
