MEET THE DEPARTMENT

Louisville’s Service Department consists of six individuals responsible for the maintenance of 55 miles of roadway including all signs, signals, storm sewers, water distribution lines and fire hydrants. Louisville also has an on-staff mechanic who maintains the vehicle fleet of nearly 100 vehicles, off road equipment, tractors, and small engines.

Through the Stark/Tusc/Wayne Joint Solid Waste District, this division also offers a yard waste drop center free to any resident. Residents may bring yard waste debris (including grass, leaves, hedge or tree trimmings, and garden or flower bed waste) to the facility located at 1022 West Main Street any day during the daylight hours. Bagged waste must be emptied onto the pile. Louisville also offers instructions for back yard composting – call (330) 875-5644 for details.
