Louisville owns and maintains its own water and wastewater (sewer) facilities that provide service to 3300 households every day.  In 2002, a new water storage tower and booster station improved the delivery of water resources to citizens and businesses of the community.  An addition of 3 more ground water wells was added in 2005 to secure Louisville's water needs well into the future.  In 2006, the wastewater plant will undergo some changes to improve the sewage treatment process and holding capabilities.  Also in 2006, a 12-inch water line (loop) will furnish ample water to 300 acres of industrial property near SR44 (South Chapel Street). Louisville's city services also include maintenance of all signs, signals, storm sewers, fire hydrants, roadways, and public owned lands and trees.  Louisville has been designated a "Tree City USA" by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Forestry Division each year since 1986.
