Natural Gas Services
Electric service is provided by American Electric Power at (330)
455-8931 and natural gas service is provided by East Ohio Gas Company at
1-800-521-2600. Telephone and Cable TV Telephone service is provided by Ameritech at 1-800-660-1000. Cable
service is provided by Time Warner Cable at (330) 494-0095. Animal Control Pet owners are responsible for preventing their pets from becoming a public nuisance for the sake of community members. Dogs are not permitted to run freely except on the owner's property and the maximum fine for an unleashed dog is $100.00 plus court cost. Any citizen can file a complaint about a nuisance animal by calling the Police Department at (330) 875-2871. If you find a stray animal, contact Animal Control at (330) 438-9843. If you lose your pet, contact Animal Control and the Stark County Humane Society at (330) 453-5529. To release your pet from the shelter, you must pay a fine. Names of nuisance trappers for undomesticated animals can be obtained
from the Police Department or the State Wildlife Representative at (330)
823-6627. Removal services of dead animals on roadways within the city
limits is handled by the Service Department at (330) 875-5644. The
County Sheriffs Department can be contacted at (330) 430-3800 for
removal of those animals outside city limits. Tour of City Facilities Tours of all city facilities can be arranged by contacting the City
Manager's Office at (330) 875-3321. Emergency Sirens and Tornado Warnings For the safety of the citizens, emergency sirens are tested the first Monday of every month at noon and sound of for less than one minute. In time of emergency, the Louisville Communication Center will sound the signal in a pattern of three minutes of siren, then one minute of silence, then three minutes of siren, then one minute of silence, then three minutes of siren. There is no all clear siren. If you sight a tornado or other severe weather conditions, call the
Louisville Police/Fire Department at 911. They will be alert to track
the direction of the storm. Tuscarawas and Market, in the Citizen's Saving Bank Building in Canton.
The Bureau is open 8:30 - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday and Tuesdays 8:30 -

kennels, plumbers, refuse haulers, sewer tapping contractors, solicitors
and vendor. Professional licenses are authorized by City Council and
